Viodi View Newsletter - April 5th, 2006 What Not to Do...... By Ken Pyle, [email protected], Managing Editor, Viodi View The intent of this article is to help independent telcos learn from Viodi’s mistakes when it comes to producing local content. The basis for this is our experience with the Content Pavilion at TelecomNEXT. The goal of the Content Pavilion was to take Viodi’s Local Content Workshop to the next level. It featured a 20’x20’ booth with sponsors, content sessions and an awards ceremony. What we were trying to do was similar to what an independent telco has to do with any sort of live video production, so, hopefully, the lessons learned here will be useful for telcos creating local content. Note; this article may be updated from time to time, as we reflect on the event and come up with other things that we might have done differently. The following lists things that we could have done better. Granted, there were a lot of dependencies, so that we pulled this off was impressive, especially given that our last sponsor was signed up less than two weeks before the show.
